To reduce the resort’s carbon footprint on the beautiful island of Kauai, The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas completed the installation of a cogeneration plant, which allows the resort to produce over 90% of its electricity on site. The cogen plant’s heat output is used to heat the resort’s four pools, three whirlpools and hot water throughout the resort.
